I am continually amazed and inspired by the sheer emotional joy and power of moving images juxtaposed against one another. Whether they are experienced in a linear format like a film, or presented as multiple screens glowing next to one another, I find it hard to think of one image, I immediately begin considering what the second or third element could be - how the visual narrative develops. When it works, when that spark happens, when I am able to present a different view of the world through my imagery, it always makes me smile. I work in digital forms now. I used to work in analog film. The possibilities are endless, the discipline is the same. I keep William Carlos Williams in mind as inspiration, “so much depends, upon a red wheel barrow, glazed with rain water, beside the white chickens.” Indeed, he was a decent screenwriter.
